Preparedness is the Key to Survival

ALERRT’s Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course teaches everyday people how to stay aware, make fast decisions, and take life-saving actions in the first critical minutes of a violent event. Through plain-language instruction and realistic scenarios, participants learn how to avoid danger when possible, deny access when escape isn’t an option, and defend themselves as a last resort—while working with law enforcement response and improving overall community preparedness.
